The blood-cancer literature focuses on apoptosis, autophagy, cell-cycle effects, and growth suppression.

Acute myeloid leukaemia

  • Polydatin inhibits AML tumour growth in vivo in animal work

  • Induces cell death through autophagy-related pathways

  • Targets survival signalling relevant to leukaemia cell persistence

Acute lymphoblastic leukaemia

  • Shows dose-dependent and time-dependent antiproliferative effects in MOLT-4 cells

  • Cell-cycle arrest and apoptosis may be potentiated when combined with resveratrol

  • Pediatric leukaemia models also show cytotoxic activity

Practical interpretation

This is still preclinical territory, but blood cancers remain one of the meaningful mechanistic areas in the polydatin literature.
